Split by bike, with Poljud

A local guide walks you through the Old Town, then the group rides over Sustipan and down through Marjan forest to Poljud, where you go inside on a guided stadium tour. It's the only tour that puts the city, the hill and the stadium in one booking, with a craft beer at the end.

Old Town Bike Tour with Poljud Stadium

About this experience

Two GetYourGuide products take you inside Poljud, and this is the longer one. It starts on foot in the Old Town with a local guide, then you climb on the bikes and ride to Sustipan, the park on the cliffs above the harbour with views to Čiovo, Brač and Šolta. From there the route drops through Marjan forest park, past its galleries, churches and beaches, to the stadium. The bikes stay outside. A guide takes you in for a tour about the club and its fans, and the ride ends at a local bar with Croatian craft beer.

The catch is the sample. Four people have reviewed it, all with five stars, and two of them named Ante as their guide. That's a good start, not a track record. At $104 it costs eight times the club's own stadium tour, so you're paying for the guide, the bike, the route and the beer as much as for Poljud.

Start times may change because of Hajduk training or matches, the same limit the club tour has. The minimum age is 12, the beer is for 18+, and the listing says it isn't suitable for people with limited mobility. Sustipan has a story of its own: it was Split's first cemetery, cleared by the communist authorities, and only a classicist gloriette survives (Visit Split).

Tips before you book

  • Check your start time the day before. Hajduk training or a match can move it, and free cancellation runs until 24 hours before.
  • Wear closed shoes and bring water. The Marjan section has climbs, even if it's mostly downhill.
  • Teenagers can ride from age 12, but the beer tasting is 18+. Under-18s can buy soft drinks at the bar.
  • If the ride matters more than the stadium, compare the Split city e-bike tour, with far more reviews.
